Adidas set out to find a fun and engaging way to connect with baseball fans in the final cities for the World Series’ 2018. Through branded vending machines in LA and Boston, fans were gifted unique premium items such as signed baseballs, hoodies, custom tees, etc as a way to celebrate the heroic efforts of the athletes during the game. The premiums were released through exclusive codes hidden in social media posts when athletes achieved certain feats: got on base, hit a home run, got multiple strikes, etc, leaving fans running to the machines through all 18 innings.
